* Will Smith talks about the time travel element in Men In Black 3:
In MOONRISE KINGDOM, a small New England island town gets turned on its ear when two 12-year-olds fall in love and run away together into the woods just as a dangerous storm approaches from off-shore. As authorities and parents rush to find them secrets and feelings get revealed. Co-written (with ROMAN COPPOLA) and directed by WES ANDERSON, the ensemble cast includes EDWARD NORTON, BRUCE WILLIS, BILL MURRAY, TILDA SWINTON, HARVEY KEITEL, FRANCES McDORMAND, JASON SCHWARTZMAN and BOB BALABAN as well as newcomers JARED GILMAN and KARA HAYWARD.
Reuniting with ANDERSON for their sixth collaboration, MURRAY recently joked with reporters at the Cannes Film Festival premiere about why he loves working with him. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
Open in theaters now, MEN IN BLACK 3 is the third in the series of action/comedies focused on special government agents charged with ridding the world of intergalactic creatures living amongst us. Once again directed by BARRY SONNENFELD, the cast reunites WILL SMITH and TOMMY LEE JONES as special agents ‘J’ and ‘K’ respectively as well as introducing JOSH BROLIN as a young (completely spot-on) version of ‘K’.
Fraught with production problems early on, the film managed to work through it all to everyone’s satisfaction. During our recent interview, SONNENFELD talked about the challenges he faced in getting this CGI-heavy, time-travel adventure to the screen. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
Soon to be seen in the feature length film CROOKED ARROWS as a prep school lacrosse coach working to get his guys through a national tournament, actor BRANDON ROUTH has been keeping his dance card pretty full. Next up, he co-stars with SOPHIA BUSH, DAVID KRUMHOLTZ, MICHAEL URIE and MOLLY SHANNON in the new CBS-TV sitcom PARTNERS.
Probably best known for his titular role in the 2006 BRYAN SINGER reboot SUPERMAN RETURNS, ROUTH has been working hard to shed that image. We spoke with him a couple of days ago and he confessed hope that these two new projects will do the trick. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
