SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS

Mad Men star Jared Harris (or for some middle aged movie fans like me… the lead in Michael Radford’s woefully ignored B. Monkey) gets the juicy rule of Professor James Moriarty, the brilliant sociopath who meets his match with Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

If you loved the action and frenetic pacing from the first installment, then A Game of Shadows is right up your alley.  The movie’s best sequences, however, reside in the chess game between Holmes and Moriarty.  Since this is a Guy Ritchie picture, the mind games lead to an inevitable and rather destructive brawl, but that’s neither here nor there.  Listen to what Mr. Harris has to say at a recent press conference about playing Moriarty:
