water-for-elephants-bluComing to video for the first time, WATER FOR ELEPHANTS is the much-talked-about. big-screen adaptation of SARA GRUEN’S best-selling 2006 novel about love and danger under the Big Top. Set in the 1930s against a circus backdrop, the film is directed by FRANCIS LAWRENCE (I AM LEGEND) and stars REESE WITHERSPOON, ROBERT PATTINSON, CHRISTOPH WALTZ, HAL HOLBROOK and TAI, a 42-year-old elephant whose ability to charm rivals that of the film’s human stars.
Ultimately, a story of love, redemption and second chances, it’s no wonder that the novel has built such an enormous fan base. And, because of that fan base, screenwriter RICHARD LaGRAVENESE worked together with GRUEN to make sure the romance properly translated to the screen. During our recent interview with ROBERT PATTINSON, he talked about how, at its heart, the film is a great love story. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
