‘What’s Your Number?’ Star Anna Faris Goes One Toke Over The Line

Anna FarisIn theaters today, WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER? is a romantic comedy that follows a young woman determined to find a husband by revisiting all twenty of her former lovers. Based on KARYN BOSNAK’S best-selling novel, 20 TIMES A LADY, the film is directed by MARK MYLOD and stars ANNA FARIS, CHRIS EVANS, CHRIS PRATT, ADAM SAMBERG and JOEL McHALE.
Arguably one of Hollywood’s most formidable comedic actresses, ANNA FARIS is almost always the heart and soul of her films and this one is no exception. And, while she probably won’t win any awards for this one, she is always worth watching.
One film she did win an award for was GREG ARAKI’S stoner comedy HAPPY FACE. During our recent interview, she talked about being awarded the ‘Stoney’ by High Times magazine. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)

RYAN GOSLING READY TO GET MARRIED TO THE SAME FILMMAKERS

This news must bode will for Andrew Jarecki (All Good Things), Ryan Fleck (Half Nelson), and more recently, Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive), and George Clooney (The Ides of March): Ryan Gosling said in a recent interview that filmmakers are the driving force behind his movie choices.  Expect Mr. Gosling to reunite with a few of these filmmakers down the line, as loyalty is a very important to the actor (for proof, check out a previous article on Hollywood Outbreak).

Ryan Gosling explains why, going forward, he mainly wants to work with the same filmmakers (he mentions Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance):

One of my favorite Gosling efforts is Drive, a visually arresting, ultra violent feature that harkens back to Michael Mann’s earlier work (Thief) and Walter Hill’s ode to Los Angeles noir, The Driver.  In the following audio clip, Gosling explains what makes Nicolas Winding Refn such a unique artist:

Currently starring in Abduction, Weaver starred last year in the comedy You Again (with Kristen Bell) and will be featured later this year in the police drama Rampart.

“I’m developing a couple of things which are challenging lead roles for myself, and I have to keep going on those.  But I love the variety of what I get asked to do,” says Weaver, who also starred this year in the alien comedy Paul and Cedar Rapids.  “A lot of these young directors have grown up watching Aliens and Ghostbusters and they ask me to be in their movies and I get to do all kinds of insane things.  So I’m happy.  Very happy.”

Abduction, headlined by Taylor Lautner, is now playing nationwide.
