JESSICA CHASTAIN LOOKS BACK ON EARLY DAYS AT JUILLIARD

takes2

Jessica Chastain has already appeared in three films this year (Tree of Life, The Help, The Debt), and she also co-stars in the drama Take Shelter, which is now playing in select theaters.  The Jessica Chastain movie marathon continues, as she also has a supporting role in the Texas Killing Fields, which opens October 14th.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Chastain landed a co-starring role with Tom Cruise in an untitled sci-fi film (it was previously named Horizons), and she is also attached to the Guillermo del Toro produced thriller Mama.

SETH ROGEN LOVES BEING A SECOND BANANA IN ’50/50′

seth24

Although he’s carried such films as Knocked Up, Observe and Report, and most recently The Green Hornet, Seth Rogen is more than willing to play the second banana.

With 50/50, Rogen stars as Kyle, the best friend of Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a twentysomething who is battling cancer.  Rogen, who also produced the feature, had a recent discussion with Jonah Hill about the advantages of having a supporting role.

‘FOOTLOOSE’ DIRECTOR CRAIG BREWER: “I DON’T HAVE TO DO MOVIES”

brewer11

My initial skepticism over a Footloose remake was erased when Craig Brewer, director behind the first rate features Hustle & Flow and Black Snake Moan, was attached to direct.

“I don’t have to do movies,” says Brewer, who also directed the pilot of the gone-too-soon FX series Terriers.  “I don’t need a paycheck or anything.  I live in Memphis, Tennessee and my living expenses are very low, so when I do a movie I really want to make something that comes from my heart.”

Click on the media bar and listen to Brewer explain why he actually relates to Reverend Shaw (played by Dennis Quaid) in Footloose:

Brewer also discusses why he decided to direct Footloose (it’s his first feature length film since 2006’s Black Snake Moan):

Daniel Craig Promises Changes When ‘Bond’ Resurfaces

james-bond-23-movie-posterIn theaters today, DREAM HOUSE is (reportedly) a suspense thriller about a family that unknowingly moves into a house that holds dark mysteries within its walls. The site of grisly murders committed years earlier, the house is not happy with its new occupants. Directed by JIM SHERIDAN (IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER) from a script by DAVID LOUCKA, the stellar cast includes DANIEL CRAIG, RACHEL WEISZ and NAOMI WATTS.
Unwilling to tub-thump this film, CRAIG sat down with entertainment press in Manhattan last week to talk about the other projects he’s been working on (such as THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO and the tentatively titled BOND 23). Set to be directed by Academy Award-winner SAM MENDES, the upcoming James Bond adventure will see CRAIG sharing the screen with RALPH FIENNES, JAVIER BARDEM, JUDI DENCH and BEN WHISHAW. CRAIG admitted that, this time around, there will be some changes in his character and he’s been working with designer TOM FORD on a new look. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
