‘FRIGHT NIGHT’ STAR COLIN FARRELL DEFENDS REMAKES

colinpic9

With starring roles in S.W.A.T., Miami Vice, and now Fright Night, Farrell obviously doesn’t mind doing remakes.

“You have to be allowed to reinterpret things,” says Farrell, who is also starring in an upcoming version of Total Recall.  “There is no world where it literally detracts from the original.  Unless you want it to.  And then you can go, we’ve all decided to come in and piss on the original just for the fun and because we wanted to make money.  Like, ‘F**k Fright Night! Yeah!  Give me money!!  It’s not, we approach it as film fans and you try to make an entertaining and a significantly unique look at something that’s already been looked at.”

EMILY VANCAMP EXPLAINS THE “MASTER PLAN” BEHIND ‘REVENGE’

camp4 Emily VanCamp, star of two beloved shows (Everwood, Brothers & Sisters), strikes out on her own to headline the upcoming ABC series Revenge.

A modern day take on The Count of Monte Cristo, the show (debuting September 21st at 10 p.m.) centers on a young woman (Camp) seeking vengeance against the Hamptons based family (Madeleine Stowe is the matriarch) who ruined her father’s life.

“It’s so different from Brothers & Sisters, which is what really drew me to doing this role and playing this character,” says VanCamp.  “I was so excited to play something completely different and challenge myself. And when this came along, it just seemed ideal, really.  I’ve had so much fun with it.”
