It’s the standard story for any actor, musician, writer, or anyone involved in the creative arts – it all started with a girl.

Before he was the best thing about Terminator Salvation and had his life forever changed with Avatar, Sam Worthington, he was a working actor in Australia.  And before he was an actor, he was a bricklayer.

It was an ex-girlfriend who unwittingly put him into the acting track, and although Mr. Worthington has told this story to countless journalists and late night talk show hosts, it’s still a pretty cool anecdote.  Listen to the actor, whose next film The Debt opens Wednesday, elaborate on his early initiation to the National Institute of Dramatic art:
