An aspects that is often overlooked in animation films is the contribution of the voice actors, and although fans are anxious for a 2D experience with Winnie The Pooh, having performers who can perfectly embody the characters is a must.
Jim Cummings is the voice of Winnie The Pooh and Tigger, and although he has worked in showbiz since the 1980s, he made sure to honor the work of late actors Sterling Holloway (Pooh) and Paul Winchell (Tigger) in the film. “You have to stay true to the character,” says Cummings. “And hopefully expand it from there. It’s like a recipe. You have to follow your original recipe, but you can put a little of your own salt in there.”

Winnie The Pooh opens Friday.
