Casey Desmond and Jeff Jenkins take the stage on tonight’s Battle Rounds episode of The Voice (NBC, 10 pm et/pt).  In an interview with Hollywood Outbreak, Desmond said she bonded with Jenkins during the experience.   “It’s been awesome and a lot of people think that if you’re in a battle with someone it needs to be like you duke it out with someone,” says the singer, who tackles the Elton John staple, ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ with Jenkins. “But Jeff is awesome, he’s a wicked sweet guy.  It’s been positive all around, even though it’s a competition.”

Casey Desmond discusses a possible collaboration Jeff Jenkins, and she says she’d love to also write songs for other members on The Voice:

Jenkins and Desmond are both members of Team Adam, and the singer describes coach Adam Levine as a “down to earth” and “super nice” guy.  “I just got a really positive vibe from him and I felt confident working with him,” says Desmond, who grew up in a musical and artsy family (her parents owned a rehearsal facility, and she met rockers and indie musicians at an early age).  “He didn’t give that scary celebrity vibe.  He’s just another awesome dude and he told me that my style is ‘loud and proud’ and to just go with it and be true to who I am.  It was a really positive experience in that way.”
