‘THE VOICE’ BLAKE SHELTON KNOCKS BACK TEQUILA WITH CEE-LO AND ADAM LEVINE

NUP_144348_0193.JPG The innate chemistry among Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton is one of the many strengths of NBC’s new singing competition show The Voice. The coaches are so close that three of them actually shared a few drinks together while shooting The Voice, much to the chagrin of the series’ producers. “I remember one day it was Adam’s birthday, we were taping the show and the producers were pulling their hair out and they were mad at us because Adam and Cee Lo and myself were in Adam’s dressing room drinking tequila because it was his birthday and we had my iPod out and Cee Lo was dancing in front of the iPod player by himself listening to INXS‘I Need You Tonight.’  Those are the things that you’re going ‘How did I get in with this group of people and why is it working like it is.’  I think somebody along the way found people that respect other artists, you know.  It matters to us, and I love that part of this.” This week on The Voice, the singers go head to head in a Battles competition, and the coaches must choose four out of their eight singers to make it to the next stage.  Part one of the Battles airs Tuesday night (NBC, 10 pm et/pt). The following video is from Dia Frampton, a member of Blake Shelton’s group.  She does a rendition of the Ingrid Michaelson song, The Way I Am.
