Fringe returns with fresh episodes on its new Friday night position (9:00 p.m. ET/PT on FOX).
Fridays on FOX has sort of been like the elephant’s graveyard. Remember Firefly or Dollhouse?
Well, the network tells us moving Fringe to the kiss-of-death slot will be great because diehard fans will follow the sci-fi thriller to Fridays. We hope so.
The episodes have been as interesting as ever, albeit confusing at times. And the ratings have slid since its move to Thursday nights. Still, we love the characters particularly Walter Bishop (John Noble), the drug addled scientist with a penchant for red licorice.
And it appears Fringe is jumping back into action with a dramatic episode starring Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), as one of Walter’s musical idols. Tonight’s show is named, ironically, Firefly.
Still, judging from the clip FOX has provided, it looks every bit as quirky as we’ve come to expect from the series. And as one of those enthusiastic sci-fi followers I’ll be making the switch with Fringe.
