American Idol star David Archuleta will be helping FOX ring in the New Year by performing for the New Year’s Eve Live special (11:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. ET).

Tonight’s party is an all-new adventure for the Idol season seven runner up, who normally spends the holiday with family.

Still, singing live on TV brings with it a good case of the jitters for Archuleta…but not enough to keep him from rocking the house…which he fully intends to do.

Archuleta won’t be alone, however, Travis McCoy, Brandy, the pop/rock group Plain White T’s and dance crew Jabbawockeez as well as this year’s host, Nancy O’Dell, will all hit the streets of Las Vegas to bring viewers all the action from Sin City.

Mariah Carey fans will also have the opportunity to watch the broadcast premiere of her music video of the New Year’s staple, Auld Lang Syne, from her new album Merry Christmas II You.
