Last night Taylor Swift won the Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) songwriter of the year award.

That was such a big deal that some news outlets didn’t mention that she also won the country song of the year (for You Belong With Me).  For the third time in a row.

The songwriter honor was news because Swift is the youngest person to have ever won the award.  That includes 24-year old Johnny Cash who won in 1956.

Sadly, the best years may be behind Swift, having just turned a decrepit 20.
