Charged with criminal weapons possession, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and some other things, Robert Linhart, 52, retired and (maybe) obsessed, faced a Manhattan judge for allegedly stalking Madonna.

“I keep running into Madonna…I saw her in 1992 and I’d actually like to meet her in person,” Linhart told arresting cops (according to court documents).  “I won’t stop until I actually meet Madonna.”

Although arrested on Saturday and again on Tuesday, Linart is apparently prepared to spend eternity going from Madonna‘s digs to the joint.  “I’m going to go right back there and do it again,” court papers said he said.

Linhart reportedly parked his SUV in front of Madonna‘s residence with a message on the roof declaring his offer of friendship, stating “Madonna, I need you – Tell me yes or no – If it’s yes, my dream will come true – If it’s no, I will go.  XXX.”

Cops say he was carrying a couple of knives with him but they also found an ice pick in his car.
