JON VOIGHT TAKES ON TIME MAGAZINE

Jon Voight, 40 years a famous star, and the father of an even more famous daughter (Angelina Jolie) said on a Sunday talk show that Time Magazine’s two cover stories (in particular) were created with dangerous agendas.  Regarding the September 13 edition, embellished with Why Israel Doesn’t Care About Peace, Voight  told Mike Huckabee that “This is anti-Semitism…Who are the anti-Semites who are running Time Magazine?”

While the Time editors may be less Jew-haters than tough (unfair?) critics of Israel, Voight has long been a passionate supporter of Israel and sees disturbing trends in some media.

Later, Voight was more animated over the Is America Islamophobic cover from August 30, that isn’t just part of a talking-points thrust but (he thinks) something more sinister.   “They’re calling America Islamophobic.  Well, this is exactly the way that we create wars between nations,” Voight said.  “They shouldn’t have the right to create wars (vis-à-vis 1898 Hearst and Remember The Maine!).

When Voight rhetorically asked if Time should be boycotted, Mike Huckabee joked, “Given their circulation numbers, I think most of America already is.”
