Jo Dee Messina will be taking part in Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor event Saturday, August 28th on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Partnering with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Restoring Honor is meant to celebrate America by honoring our heroes, our heritage and our future. It’s a non-political event pays tribute to America’s service personnel and other upstanding citizens who embody our nation’s founding principles of integrity, truth and honor.

The Country Music songstress is looking forward to the event. “I’m thrilled to be a part of Restoring Honor.  For me it’s all about honoring the men and women that serve this country,” she says. “One of the benefits of this event is to help raise funds for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This foundation provides scholarships and counseling to the children of men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice.  My involvement in this event is my way of saying thank you.”

Messina is known for her dedication in supporting worthy causes including Special Olympics and Harvest Hands as well as performing at benefit concerts for Haiti, Nashville flood recovery and more. Most recently, Messina hosted a charity 5K run in conjunction with CMA Fest (Country Music Association) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
