glass-bottom-boatOn this day in 1966, M-G-M released THE GLASS BOTTOM BOAT. Directed by FRANK TASHLIN and starring DORIS DAY and ROD TAYLOR, this romantic comedy featured spies, robots, mystery and mermaids. Silly at best, the film did spotlight a great supporting cast with ARTHUR GODFREY, JOHN McGIVER, PAUL LYNDE, EDWARD ANDREWS, DOM DeLUISE, DICK MARTIN and ROBERT VAUGHN (as Napoleon Solo).
