FIX MY MOM A DRINK, HELLBOY!!

12 Jul 2008 Filed under: MOVIE NEWS

It’s not uncommon for actors to have visitors on the sets of their movies… especially when it comes to family.  But just imagine inviting your mom to the set of a movie called HELLBOY 2.  That’s exactly what SELMA BLAIR did…

A glimmer of hope to women everywhere… yes, if even HELLBOY 2 can still be a gentleman, so can your guy.  Maybe.  Anyway, the movie’s still in theaters…

With less than a week to go until THE DARK KNIGHT hits theatres,  images from the film continue to invade the interwebs (much to the concern of the filmmakers).  According to AARON ECKHARDT, who co-stars in the movie as both hero HARVEY DENT and villain TWO-FACE, they tried really, really hard to keep those pictures and other classified info from getting into the public eye:

WAR STORIES

12 Jul 2008 Filed under: BREAKING NEWS, TELEVISION NEWS

HBO is premiering it’s seven-part series GENERTION KILL on Sunday 7/13.

Based on the bestselling book by EVAN WRIGHT and set against the ‘war’ in Iraq, this is the firsthand account of an unlikely group of heros called upon to fight a battle they don’t particularly believe in.

HBO has high hopes for the series despite the fact that American audiences have completely avoided any films having anything remotely involved with war and set in a country upholstered in sand.

HBO President MICHAEL LOMBARDO and Co-president RICHARD PLEPLER spoke to The Television Critics Association a couple of days ago and voiced assurances that they feel audiences will tune in to GENERATION KILL:

Speaking this afternoon at The  Television Critics Association HBO President MICHAEL LOMBARDO and Co-president RICHARD PLEPLER responded to questions relating to the possibility (based on the huge success of SEX AND THE CITY) of a big-screen, full-length version of THE SOPRANOS.

Let’s put it this way: they didn’t say yes…but they didn’t say no.

GREY’S ANATOMY star, CHANDRA WILSON, took the heat this morning when asked to comment on co-star KATHERINE HEIGL’s recent withdrawl from the Emmy race because of unworthy GREY’s scripts.

At the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the Television Critics Association and showing support for her upcoming Hallmark Channel movie, ACCIDENTAL FRIENDSHIP, WILSON took the time to defend her pal, HEIGL:

FLORENCE HENDERSON made an appearance this morning at the Television Critics Association to support her upcoming Hallmark Channel movie, LADIES OF THE HOUSE.

During the Q & A, she was asked what she thought of the reality show appearances of her BRADY BUNCH TV son, CHRISTOPHER KNIGHT and judging from her remarks, she’s not a fan.

WILL SMITH has twice been nominated for an Oscar… first for ALI and again for THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS.  He’s come close… but he hasn’t won one yet.  Then again, it’s not like he’s really trying.  After all, very few critics think HANCOCK will win any awards.  That’s OK with WILL, though…

Not as long as he has your box-office bucks… WILL SMITH, starring in HANCOCK.
