On this day in 1972, AVCO EMBASSY PICTURES released THE RULING CLASS. Directed by PETER MEDAK from the play by PETER BARNES, this truly subversive (for the time) comedy was a real eyebrow raiser. The perfectly perfect cast included PETER O’TOOLE, ALISTAIR SIM, ARTHUR LOWE, HARRY ANDREWS and CORAL BROWNE. A great dark comedy.
