It’s a common dilemma successful TV shows face as they get older: How do you keep things fresh but familiar? Now in its fourth season, The CW’s The Flash is certainly dealing with that, after a third season that saw the show go a little too far off track for some of the fans. When we spoke to star Grant Gustin, he acknowledged it can be tricky when you’re dealing with a serialized show where the characters and storylines are constantly evolving.
