Next month, Titanic will get a special one-week re-release to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Yes, believe it or not, it’s been two decades since Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet boarded the ill-fated luxury liner. And the film is still the second-biggest grossing film in the world, behind only another James Cameron-directed film, Avatar Back then, DiCaprio had established himself as one of Hollywood’s brightest up-and-coming young actors, having earned an Oscar nomination for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. But he’d never starred in a big-budget movie before, and when Titanic came along, he actually had to think long and hard about whether he wanted to do it or not! The 20th anniversary re-release of Titanic opens in theaters on December 1.
