NUP_179682_3212.jpgWhen a brand-new TV show becomes an immediate hit with both viewers and critics alike, the pressure to live up to expectations can be overwhelming. In fact, it’s stopped some promising shows dead in their tracks. However, that hasn’t been the case with This Is Us. In its sophomore year, NBC’s hit family drama has a lot of fans and critics raving that the new season is even better than the first! While the show’s writing and acting have certainly contributed to its continued success, Justin Hartley — who plays Kevin Pearson on the show — says there’s a deeper, more fundamental reason for its success. He says the very premise of This Is Us — an interesting, realistic family dealing with interesting, realistic situations — is one that’s built to last, and one that can appeal to all walks of life. This Is Us airs Tuesday nights at 9/8c on NBC.
