Daniel Radcliffe has worked hard to put his childhood behind him, taking on challenging, mature roles on both the big screen and Broadway. But when your face will forever be linked with a character as beloved as Harry Potter, it’s not easy to escape the ghost of movies past. That won’t stop Radcliffe from forging forward, though. He’s got a new movie, Jungle, which again defies the Harry Potter stereotype. But he doesn’t look at his role selection as a way of rebelling against the role that made him a star. Radcliffe told us he’s not consciously trying to make people forget he was Harry Potter — he just wants to play roles he finds different, interesting, and challenging.

Jungle can be bought or rented on Amazon and other streaming services.
