Season 3 of The Flash wasn’t what a lot of fans expected of the show. The “Flashpoint” arc took the show’s characters in a distinctly darker direction — some fans would say too dark, and even some of the cast members have publicly agreed. With Season 4 on the way, word is that we’ll be seeing a shift back to The Flash of old, but after the events of last season, how can that happen? We spoke to Grant Gustin, who plays The Flash/Barry Allen, and he explained how the show plans to move forward by bringing back its lighter tone.
