Shout! Factory is spotlighting one of television’s more overlooked sitcoms, as Just Shoot Me!: The Complete Series hits DVD for the first time on September 5. The collection encompasses all 148 episodes of the sitcoms which during its run was nominated for six Emmys and five Golden Globes.
The series centered on Maya Gallo (Laura San Giacomo), a journalist who’s forced to work at her father’s (George Segal) fashion magazine (its memorable moniker was Blush) to make ends meet. Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars), Wendie Malick (Hot in Cleveland), and David Spade (Saturday Night Live) co-star in the show. Debuting in 1997, Just Shoot Me! lasted seven seasons, and creator Steve Levitan went on to spearhead the beloved and award winning series Modern Family.
Extras on Just Shoot Me!: The Complete Series includes select episode commentaries, “Always in Fashion: A Conversation with Steve Levitan and the Cast of Just Shoot Me!,” and the Blush covers gallery.
