Semispheres, a 2D puzzle game that, according to developer Vivid Helix, is a “meditative” experience, hits Sony PlayStation 4 and PC (via steam) in February.

One of the huge reasons why the title should draw its share of attention is that its synth infused soundtrack was crafted by acclaimed composer Sid Barnhoorn, the music man behind the iconic games Antichamber and The Stanley Parable.

Center on two parallel worlds and boasting a gorgeous universe coated with warm hues, Semispheres aims to be an immersive experience. “Semispheres was initially conceived in August 2014 at the Ludum Dare 30 game jam, around the theme of connected worlds,” said Semispheres designer Radu Muresan. “The first prototype already contained the idea of overlapping realities, but constrained each character to their own world. While that early version of the game was fun, it wasn’t until I introduced ideas like portals, side-swapping and teleports that opened up the possibility space, offering new depth and scope to the puzzles.”

The trailer, which partly shows the split screen aesthetic of the title, is truly alluring. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think!
