It is hard to believe that it’s been over 25 years since Michael Jackson’s hit single, Bad, was released. The single was a number one hit for two weeks. What many may not remember is that the 18 minute video, which was directed by legendary director and Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese, starred a young (and at the time relatively unknown) Wesley Snipes, who from there, went on to Hollywood stardom.
Snipes, who is rumored to star in The Expendables 3 and his next film, Gallowwalkers, is scheduled to be released August 13, recalls filming the video and the great experience. He says that he was blown away by Michael Jackson’s work ethic, which he tries to emulate in his own career. (Click on the media bar below to hear Wesley Snipes)
Snipes went on to say that he thinks Michael Jackson was an angel that was sent to us, and that people should reflect on how they treated him. He also said that Jackson was a culture icon, not just in music, but that he represented so much more.
