Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson, who just performed at the 85th Academy Awards, is currently guest starring on the NBC musical/drama Smash. As many remember, before becoming a big star Hudson was a contestant on season three of American Idol. Hudson joins Idol alum (Smash cast member) Katharine McPhee who was the runner up in season five of American Idol.

Hudson is a big fan of Katherine McPhee and just gushes about her.

Smash airs tonight on NBC.
