Airing Friday night on ABC-TV, LAST MAN STANDING is a better than average family comedy that combines the battle-of-the-sexes with the battle-of-the-generations as a right-wing, “man’s man” type of guy finds himself to be odd-man-out in a household dominated by a wife and three daughters. Created by JACK BURDITT, the ensemble cast includes TIM ALLEN, NANCY TRAVIS, HECTOR ELIZONDO, AMANDA FULLER, MOLLY EPHRAIM, KAITLYN DEVER and CHRISTOPH SANDERS. A former stand-up comic who rocketed to success as a comic-actor and then as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in Disney’s hugely popular TOY STORY franchise, ALLEN takes a lot of pride in the scripts for LAST MAN STANDING. We met up with him (along with co-stars CHRISTOPH SANDER and HECTOR ELIZONDO) on the CBS lot a few days ago and he talked about how the writers have found the right vibe for the series.
