Although the top 6 acts perform tonight on The X Factor (FOX, 8 pm et/pt), the competition for the $5 million prize is a two person race, thanks to America’s overwhelming love for country singer Tate Stevens and teen prodigy Carly Rose Sonenclar. CeCe Frey, who started off as the most disliked performer on the show, has surprisingly outlasted Vino Alan and Beatrice Miller, but she has absolutely no shot at gaining the #1 spot in any week. Since Diamond White was almost eliminated last week, she also has an uphill climb the rest of the way. And even though Simon Cowell has done a spot on job with the groups (Emblem3 and Fifth Harmony), their true reward will be after the show, as Cowell is already grooming both for pop stardom.

So the true battle lies between Sonenclar and Stevens, and both have an equal chance at winning the whole enchilada thanks to their innate likability as well as their respective vocal chops. In the following audio clip, Sonenclar talks about how her fan base has grown thanks to The X Factor. To hear Sonnenclar, click on the media bar below:

Tate Stevens, who’s won fans over as a loving family man determined to make it as a country star, is also honored to have such a wide following. To hear Stevens, click on the media bar below:
