Airing tonight on ABC, the season two winter finale of the popular nighttime soap REVENGE promises to live up to the expectations the series has been setting up for the past several months. A deliciously conceived potboiler centered on a young woman’s obsession with avenging the death of her father, the show is the brainchild of writer MICHAEL KELLEY (SWINGTOWN) and stars EMILY VAN CAMP, MADELINE STOWE, GABRIEL MANN and HENRY CZERNY. Probably best known for playing the virtuous girl-next-door type in such shows as EVERWOOD and BROTHERS & SISTERS, actress EMILY VAN CAMP seems an unlikely choice to play someone haunted by the past and capable of nefarious acts of vengeance but during an interview with us she admitted it’s been one of the most enjoyable jobs of her career.

Great interview, and I’m glad Emily Van Camp ended up getting the role in Revenge. When the show originally premiered a friend I work with at DISH and I were skeptical about Van Camp’s ability to play a jaded, revenge-driven woman, but she’s proven us wrong. She does an amazing job in the show, and I make sure to watch it every week on my DISH Hopper. It’s even set to auto-record along with the other big four prime time network shows using Primetime Anytime, so I don’t have to remember to set a timer. Van Camp keeps getting better, and the midseason finale was amazing. I can’t wait until the spring premiere.
