Arguably one of this season’s most enjoyable guilty pleasures and airing tonight on The CW, ARROW is inspired by the popular DC comic book character THE GREEN ARROW and tells the story of a billionaire playboy rescued from a remote island in the Pacific five years after being thought killed in a violent shipwreck. Returning to his home in Starling City, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow, a vigilante, to right the wrongs of his family and fight the ills of society. Fielding questions at a recent Television Critics Association press conference, ARROW producer MARC GUGGENHEIM reacted to questions regarding the dark vigilantism of a main character that’s ostensibly a hero.
