Opening in limited release Friday, SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK is the theatrical adaptation of MATTHEW QUICK’S best-selling novel of the same name and tells the story of a young man trying to reconcile his life after a stay in a mental institution. A real crowd-pleaser at the recent 2012 Toronto International Film Festival (and winner of the prestigious People’s Choice Award), Academy Award prognosticators are predicting it could be a contender come awards season. Adapted and directed by DAVID O. RUSSELL, the cast features BRADLEY COOPER, JENNIFER LAWRENCE, ROBERT De NIRO, JULIA STILES, CHRIS TUCKER and JACKI WEAVER.
