Currently in theaters (and close to the top of the weekend box office chart), FLIGHT is the critically acclaimed character study of a commercial airline pilot facing emotional demons and professional ruin. Part LOST WEEKEND and part THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY, the film has apparently struck a chord with movie going audiences. Directed by ROBERT ZEMECKIS from a screenplay by JOHN GATINS, the film boasts an impressive cast that includes DENZEL WASHINGTON, KELLY REILLY, JOHN GOODMAN, MELISSA LEO, BRUCE GREENWOOD and DON CHEADLE.
During a recent press conference to promote the movie, GATINS described how an annoying flight planted the seed for the script. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
