The highly anticipated character study of a man on the edge of ruin, FLIGHT is finally arriving in theaters today to mostly positive reviews. Marking a return to live-action for director ROBERT ZEMECKIS (who for the past dozen years has been working in mo-cap animation), FLIGHT centers on a heroic commercial airline pilot whose addiction to drugs and alcohol is on the threshold of becoming public knowledge. Written by JOHN GATINS, the film boasts impressive (and, in some cases, awards worthy) performances by the likes of DENZEL WASHINGTON, KELLY REILLY, JOHN GOODMAN, MELISSA LEO, BRUCE GREENWOOD and DON CHEADLE. During a recent press conference to promote the movie, Academy Award-winning director ROBERT ZEMECKIS talked about the “movie magic” behind the film’s dazzling stunt sequence.
