Airing tonight on CBS, the 100th episode of the hit police procedural THE MENTALIST pretty much guarantees a long and healthy string of residual checks for the creative forces that have been bringing it to life for the past four years. Centered on a former professional psychic who comes clean about being a fake in order to use his innate observational skills to assist police in solving crimes, the series is far more charming than it is believable. Created by BRUNO HELLER and starring Australian charmer SIMON BAKER in the titular role, the series has been a hit since its premiere in September of 2008.
