Premiering tonight on HBO, THE GIRL is the much anticipated warts-and-all look at the unseemly events surrounding the filming of ALFRED HITCHCOCK’S iconic thrillers THE BIRDS and MARNIE starring icy blonde bombshell TIPPI HEDREN. One of a string of beautiful leading ladies that later became known as the “Hitchcock Blondes”, HEDREN was the object of the filmmaker’s weird sexual fantasies and endured harassment that would never be tolerated today. Directed by JULIAN JARROLD, the cast features SIENNA MILLER and TOBY JONES as the beleaguered actress and her unctuous director.
