Opening in theaters later this year, HYDE PARK ON HUDSON is a serio-comic biopic inspired by the actual events surrounding the visit of Britain’s King George and Queen Elizabeth to the New York residence of sitting President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his wife, Eleanor, in the summer of 1939. A delightful look at one of history’s little known footnotes, it’s directed by ROGER MICHELL from a script by RICHARD NELSON and features a cast headed by BILL MURRAY, LAURA LINNEY, OLIVIA WILLIAMS, SAMUEL WEST and OLIVIA COLMAN.
A former comic-turned-actor, BILL MURRAY first became known to TV audiences as a cast member on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. During an interview we conducted with him, MURRAY talked about the impact that show had when it first debuted in 1975. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
