The biggest news from The X Factor camp came with the announcement of Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez as co-hosts of the program’s live shows.  “The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out,” said Simon Cowell in a statement.  “Mario and Khloe are our hosts.  They will debut on our first live show in November and I couldn’t be happier.”  Cowell believes The X Factor leads all competitors in finding the best talent.  (Click on the media bar below to hear Simon Cowell explain The X Factor’s edge over other shows).

But first thing’s first, as the judges have to pick which singers will make it to the live rounds, and for X Factor judge Demi Lovato she empathizes with the contestants’ desire to make the cut.  Although she’s just 20, Lovato is a tried and true showbiz vet, and she elaborates on how she relates to the hopeful singers.  (To hear Demi Lovato, click on the media bar below).

Lovato has to pick four out of singers from her young adult group and groom them for the live rounds.  Will Jillian Jensen, who bonded with Lovato during her audition, live to see another X Factor day?  Did Paige Thomas’ continued insecurity lead to her downfall, or did CeCe Frey’s overconfidence actually do her in?  Lovato admits that being a judge is much harder than advertised.  (Click on the media bar below to hear Demi Lovato).
