Available today on DVD and Blu-ray, E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL is arguably one of the greatest kids’ movies ever made and
certainly one of the greatest films of the 1980s. Both enduring (and endearing) the film told the story of a stranded alien creature and the young suburban boy who makes him part of the family. Directed by STEVEN SPIELBERG from a script by MELISSA MATHISON, the cast featured HENRY THOMAS, DREW BARRYMORE, ROBERT MACNAUGHTON, DEE WALLACE and PETER COYOTE.
Winner of four Academy Awards out of nine nominations, the film continues to be a crowd pleaser and audience favorite. A few years ago, we sat down with a very grown-up HENRY THOMAS who talked about the good and bad sides of being thrust into the spotlight and his ultimate gratitude for the role.
