Set to hit theaters later this week, TAKEN 2 reunites audiences with former CIA agent Bryan Mills, now in hot water with the murderous mob that brutally kidnapped his daughter a year earlier (as covered in the original ‘09 film). Directed by OLIVIER MEGATON (COLOMBIANA) from a screenplay by LUC BESSON and ROBERT MARK KAMAN, the returning cast features LIAM NEESON, FAMKE JANSSEN, MAGGIE GRACE, LELAND ORSER and JON GRIES.

The success of TAKEN and the creation of this subsequent sequel has all come as quite a surprise to LIAM NEESON, who admitted during a recent press conference he didn’t expect much response to the original. But when the film became a hit overseas, Fox Publicity picked up the ball and ran with it, creating a smash based on word-of-mouth. According to NEESON, it was a welcome surprise.
