Soon to be seen in the umpteenth big-screen adaptation of LEO TOLSTOY’S classic romantic tragedy ANNA KARENINA, actor JUDE LAW was in Toronto last week for its TIFF premiere and subsequent tub-thumping. Directed by JOE WRIGHT and also starring KEIRA KNIGHTLEY, AARON TAYLOR-JOHNSON and KELLY MacDONALD, the film was met with (mostly) enthusiastic response from critics and crowds. Next up, LAW has re-teamed with his CONTAGION director, STEVEN SODEBERGH, for THE SIDE EFFECTS (a.k.a. THE BITTER PILL), his upcoming “psychopharmacological thriller” that co-stars ROONEY MARA and CHANNING TATUM in the story of a women who becomes increasingly dependent on prescription drugs to deal with her anxiety over her husband’s release from prison. Facing entertainment reporters at a press conference to promote ANNA KARENINA, LAW talked a bit about reuniting with SODERBERGH. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
