In theaters later this year, HYDE PARK ON HUDSON is a fact-based biopic inspired by actual events surrounding the visit of Britain’s King George and Queen Elizabeth to the New York residence of sitting President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his wife, Eleanor, in the summer of 1939. A seriocomic look at one of history’s little known footnotes, It’s directed by ROGER MICHELL from a script by RICHARD NELSON and features a cast headed by BILL MURRAY, LAURA LINNEY, OLIVIA WILLIAMS, SAMUEL WEST and OLIVIA COLMAN.
Arguably one of the United States’ greatest leaders, FDR was a challenge for MURRAY and during last week’s TIFF press conference, the actor talked about how he approached the role. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
