In Toronto over the weekend to promote his latest film, ANNA KARENINA, actor JUDE LAW met with entertainment reporters to press the flesh and talk about movies. Pleased with the response the film got from TIFF audiences, LAW is looking to the future for the 2013 release of THE SIDE EFFECTS  (a.k.a. THE BITTER PILL), his upcoming “psychopharmacological thriller”  for director STEVEN SODERBERGH that co-stars ROONEY MARA and CHANNING TATUM in the story of a women who becomes increasingly dependent on prescription drugs to deal with her anxiety over her husband’s release from prison. This marked a reunion for LAW and SODERBERGH (they worked together on CONTAGION), and the actor was grateful to work with him again. Asked if he thought the rumors of SODERBERGH’S retirement from films might be true, LAW admitted that BEHIND THE CANDELABRA (the LIBERACE biopic) might be SODERBERGH’S last.
