west-memphis-poster_510In theaters later this year but screened over the weekend at The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), WEST OF MEMPHIS is a documentary detailing the outrageous miscarriage of justice in 1993 Arkansas, when three teenage boys were railroaded into prison sentences for a murder they didn’t commit. Despite the previous release of two highly-acclaimed films on the same subject, WEST OF MEMPHIS concentrates on efforts to get the prisoners released and exposes new material.
At the TIFF press conference to promote the film, JOHNNY DEPP (actively involved for years in getting the case recognition) talked about why he got interested in WEST OF MEMPHIS. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
