Available today on DVD and Blu-ray, HIGH SCHOOL is a teen stoner comedy that centers on a valedictorian who experiments with his first joint only to discover the student body is expected to be drug tested the next day. Teaming up with the school’s top loadie , he devises a plan to get the entire student body wasted on pot-laced brownies as a diversionary tactic. Co-written (with ERIK LINTHORST and STEPHEN SUSCO) and directed by JOHN STALBERG, the cast includes ADRIEN BRODY, MICHAEL CHIKLIS, COLIN HANKS, MATT BUSH, MYKELTI WILLIAMSON, SEAN MARQUETTE and YEARDLEY SMITH.

Even though I’m a decade of so out of high school a part of me still finds these types of movies funny. I’m not sure if it’s because I know people that used to be just like the characters in the movie or if it’s just the shenanigans of all those involved. I saw the trailer for this film and it made me laugh so I decided to rent it. I added it to my Blockbuster @ Home queue and it should be headed my way within the next few days via mail. It saves me the time of trying to find this film at kiosk after kiosk. A Dish co-worker suggested it to me a few months ago and after trying it out, I’m hooked. I love the idea that they are trying to get the entire student body wasted. That is a huge undertaking that I’m sure comes with some pretty hilarious moments along the way. Hopefully this movie will be as funny as I hope it is.
