68453769Oscar nominated actor MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN has reportedly died today while undergoing treatment for a July heart attack. He was 54 years old. Born in Chicago and raised by his mother in a single parent family, DUNCAN moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. While waiting for his break, he worked as a security guard for such high-profile clients as WILL SMITH, MARTIN LAWRENCE and JAMIE FOXX. He was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in the critically acclaimed drama THE GREEN MILE (he lost to MICHAEL CAINE). After a string of movie roles, he recently took the part of Leo Knox on the Fox-TV series THE FINDER (a spin-off of BONES). Extremely well liked by co-workers and the entertainment press, DUNCAN was known for being friendly and fast with a smile. During one of our many interviews with the actor, he was able to laugh about not winning the Academy Award. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
