tony-scottHollywood and the filmmaking community are in shock today at the news that writer/producer/director TONY SCOTT died at his own hand at the age of 68. According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office is reporting that the filmmaker jumped to his death from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in the L.A. Port of San Pedro.
The brother of RIDLEY SCOTT, TONY was responsible for such crowd-pleasing action films as TOP GUN, BEVERLY HILLS COP II, ENEMY OF THE STATE and, most recently, UNSTOPPABLE (which he made with frequent collaborator DENZEL WASHINGTON).
Always a great interview, we sat down with him several times to talk about his work and, during our last chat, he talked about how much he loved making movies and how proud he was of the work his family was turning out. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
