Debuting tonight on Fox, the fourth concurrently running series highlighting the subtle, soft-spoken charms of CHEF GORDON RAMSAY has him switching his critical eye and service expertise from restaurateurs to hoteliers. Like so many reality-show personalities known for being loud and abrasive, RAMSAY’S real-life demeanor is just the opposite. Soft-spoken, completely charming and with a delightful sense of humor, RAMSAY has become, over the years, one of our favorite interview subjects. We sat down with the celebrity chef-cum-hotel-advisor a couple of weeks ago at a Television Critics Association press event and he talked about his inspiration for making the move from eateries to inns.
I saw the first episode of Hotel Hell and Ramsay delivered his performance in “Kitchen” form, complete with expletives. In this case, the Inn’s owner that was primarily featured had an attitude and situation that warranted Gordon’s reactions and treatment. I watched much of the show with my mouth wide open at the TV. I’ll recommend the show to my Dish coworker who watches a lot of reality TV too. I love to watch TV again because I can watch commercial free with Auto Hop on my PrimeTime Anytime recordings. This way I get more TV watched each night, and more entertainment in my life. I will definitely be watching Hotel Hell again, and I can’t wait to see how the owners turn things around, especially their attitudes!
