Soon to be seen in the enchanting domestic fantasy THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN, actor JOEL EDGERTON joins JENNIFER GARNER as a married couple so desperate to start a family that a child grows in their garden. Written and directed by PETER HEDGES (from a story by AHMET ZAPPA), the film combines realistic elements of home and family with an unexpected twist of magic.
This is a change of pace for Welsh actor EDGERTON, who is recognizable to fans for his work in gritty action films. Probably best known for his role in last year’s MMA drama WARRIOR, he’s also notable for his work in ANIMAL KINGDOM, NED KELLY and KING ARTHUR. Later this year, he’ll be seen in ZERO DARK THIRTY, director KATHRYN BIGELOW’S highly anticipated follow-up to THE HURT LOCKER and next year’s BAZ LUHRMAN 3D adaptation of F. SCOTT FITZGERALD’S classic THE GREAT GATSBY. During our recent interview, we asked EDGERTON about his filmmaking choices and he admitted that sometimes it was just luck.
